 1) What is MTNL Mobshare?    

MTNL Mobshare  is our new Mobile Photo Sharing Service. For a whole lot of people, who are in a kind of live-in relationship with their camera phones, photos capture the world around, in the best possible way. MTNL Mobshare helps you store these photos online as well as share them seamlessly with your friends, on their mobile, in a single step process.

 2) What do I need to get started?    

You basically need a GPRS enabled mobile phone and will need to activate the GPRS and MMS settings on your mobile.

 3) How do I activate GPRS and MMS?

 4) How much will all this cost?    

You will be able to store your photo online as well as share it with all your friends (no matter whether it is 10 or 100 or 1000) for the cost of just one MMS. All friends' who choose to view/download will have a nominal data usage charge which is about 1ps/kb. Cost of the MMS & Data rates depends on the plan you have activated. MMS charges are normally Rs.2 and data charges are 1 ps/kb. Please contact Customer Care to know the exact details.

 5) How do I join MTNL Mobshare?    

Joining a service has never been easier. All you need to do is SMS yourname to 55563

 6) I joined MTNL Mobshare. What Next?    

Now you need to Setup your Broadcast list.
Send an SMS with the mobile numbers of all your friends to 55563


The best part is that your friends could be on any Indian Mobile Operator.
Now it's their turn to accept your Broadcast request.

 You are now ready to start broadcasting.    

Start clicking photos on your phone like never before.
Send them via MMS to 'me@mobshare.in'.
You may include a caption for the photo in the Subject of the MMS.

All your photos are stored online and can be retrieved at a later point in time by completing your registration and upgrading your account.

 Privacy Settings    

There would be 3 modes of settings you can apply to each photo.
1. Everyone - Anyone can see the photos you share.
2. Friends - Visible to all your friends on Mobshare network.
3. Broadcast List - Visible to people on your Broadcast list only.

Is this service available across MTNL Delhi?    

Yes. This service is also available across MTNL Delhi. However you will need to replace 55563 with the long code 9822818163 wherever applicable.

 How do I send an MMS to me@mobshare.in?    

Some phones might have Numeric characters as the Default entry type in the To field. Depending on the make of your phone, you may use * or # or any other button to switch the entry type between Numeric & Alphabet characters. Once converted into Alphabet entry, type in me@mobshare.in as the Recipient address.

 I can't verify my mobile number, help!    

If you are not receiving a verification code, enter your mobile number again in the register page to initiate another SMS with the verification code. If you are not receiving a verification code even after retrying thrice, then we request you to kindly try again after some time, as it might be a problem with our SMS servers or due to congestion in the mobile network.

 I'm receiving alerts on my mobile very frequently and it's annoying. How do I turn it off?    

To disable photos from your friends, SMS "OFF friendsmobilenumber" to 55563
To disable photos from a community, SMS "OFF communityname" to 55563

 The photo I uploaded via MMS is of very poor quality. What do i do?    

You have to change the MMS setting on your Mobile to fix this. Nokia phones usually have three options 'Small', 'Medium' & 'Large'. Select 'Large' to get the highest quality version of the photo online. Select 'Small' if you want to save on data cost. Menu > Message > Settings > Multi Media Message > Image Size - Select'Large'
