Ans :- If you have Motorola handset, then

    1. Dial **05*
    2. Enter 8 digit PUK number
    3. Enter 4 digit new PIN of your choice
    4. Repeat the PIN

 

If you have any non- Motorola handset, then

    1. Enter 8 digit PUK number
    2. Enter 4 digit new PIN of your choice
    3. Repeat the PIN

Q3. What is PUK?

Ans :-    It is PIN unlock Key. If you have pressed wrong PIN three times consequently, your SIM will block. You will have to enter PUK, which will be provided by service provider. Be careful while using PUK. If you enter wrong PUK 10 times consequently, your SIM will be blocked permanently.

Ans:-   Go to option phone setup – select phone line as line 1 ( you   might  have  wrongly  selected  line 2 instead  of line 1).

 

Q6 .How to send SMS?

Ans:-  All mobile phones can send and receive SMS. To send an SMS, you need to configure the Message Centre Number of MTNL which is +919869099994. For sending SMS go to message menu and choose write option and type the message to send it to the desired number.

 

Q7. How to use VMS?

Ans :-   Go to the option Messages –Message setting –Voice Mail number. Enter voice mail number as +919869099990 OR 222

Ans :-   In case of STD you are able to dial distant city number either mobile or land line whereas roaming allows you to use same SIM (same mobile number) in other networks. You will be able to receive calls on your mobile. You can also make calls from roaming network. For roaming tariff please contact our Call center number 9869012345.

Q9. If I don’t have STD, whether I will receive roaming calls ?

Ans :- Yes you will be able to receive calls from any place be it the same city or different cities,

But you will not be able to make call to different city.

Ans:-   Incoming STD calls charged @ Rs 1.75 and Local incoming & out going calls @Rs 1.40. Out going STD calls charged @ Rs 2.40 plus 14% additional surcharge. Incoming calls are not charged while roaming in BSNL network of Maharashtra and Goa.

Ans :-   You can ignore it since you are able to dial local numbers while prefixing ‘0’ also.

Ans :- This may be because of temporary network problem. If the problem persists please contact Call centre 1503.

Ans :-   No. At present no such scheme is available.

Ans :-Yes. It is available on select plans in Dolphin postpaid services of MTNL.

Ans :- No. it is not possible.

Ans:-   It is because you have not submitted the required documents. The documents required are attested copy of PAN card, identity proof document, photo copy of ration card or land line telephone bill.

 

Q22 .What do you mean by free roaming?

Ans :-    Free roaming means that you will not be billed for roaming charges while roaming in other network. It is applicable In Maharashtra and Goa provided you have selected Cellone as network operator.

 

Q23. Will MTNL SIM work with all other mobile instrument or we have to use MTNL’s instrument only?

Ans You can use any mobile handset for our SIM. MTNL does not provide mobile handset at all.

Ans   :-   Dolphin bills can be paid at MTNL CSCs, ATM, online, post office, ECS and VDS.

Ans :-The very first step you should take is to get your SIM block by contacting our customer care number 9869012345 & also register a complaint at police station for N.C. The charge for new SIM is Rs.110/- which can be collected from MTNL CSC.
